A shockingly entertaining Christmas movie that stands up to its name. It nailed the holiday sentimentality while contrasting with appropriately over the top gore and action. Very little focus on characters, and instead driven by plot and setting up extremely deliberate tropes. An homage to christmas classics for the now mature audience that grew up with them.

Solidly entertaining, showing what the violence in Home Alone was really like if given an R rating. I believe!
